Job summary

BNSF Railway in Galesburg, IL is hiring for a full-time Construction - Structural Maintenance Bridge and Building (Helper/Driver). This role supports bridge and building maintenance, with travel to job sites, overtime, nights, weekends, and a 60-day probation.

Entry wage is around $38.64–$38.79 per hour, with on-the-job and classroom training provided. Relocation assistance is not available; 60-day probation applies.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL (or obtain within 60 days)
• 21 years or older
• Able to work safely in safety-sensitive environment
• Able to lift up to 90 pounds
• Able to read, write and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Construct, inspect, and maintain railroad bridges, tunnels, culverts, and other structures
• Repair timber bridges and steel members; repair/replace structural components
• Place and finish concrete surfaces; perform carpentry work
• Read blueprints to determine materials and dimensions
• Operate company vehicles and rigging equipment
