Job summary

MK Consulting Group in the United States is seeking a Bridge Fabrication Project Manager to oversee structural steel and component manufacturing for bridge infrastructure from contract award to final delivery. The role requires 5–10+ years' experience in heavy civil manufacturing, a Bachelor’s in civil/structural/mechanical engineering, and PE license or equivalent certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent heavy industrial experience).
5 to 10+ years in structural steel or heavy civil manufacturing, ideally with complex or movable bridge components.
PE license or AISC/AWS certifications are often preferred.

Responsibilities

Project Controls: Track budgets, schedules, status reports, and forecasts.
Technical Coordination: Review shop drawings, welding procedures, and non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) requirements.
Cross-Functional Communication: Interface with detailers, shop production teams, QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and erectors.
Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to AISC certification guidelines, AASHTO specifications, and state Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
