Job summary

Executive Alliance is seeking a Fabrication Project Manager to oversee complex steel fabrication projects from contract award through final delivery and closeout. The role focuses on AISC-certified fabrication involving movable bridge structures and other heavy civil infrastructure requiring tight coordination and project control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Welding Engineering, or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer license preferred in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex steel fabrication, bridge fabrication, or movable bridge projects.
• Direct experience with AISC-certified fabrication and complex bridge structures.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, welding symbols, tolerances, and contract documents.
• Experience with AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, AISC requirements, and DOT/owner inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract award through closeout, including kickoff, planning, scheduling, budget control, execution oversight, invoicing support, and final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project work plans addressing scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate internal execution with Detailing, Engineering, Procurement, Shop Operations, QA/QC, Coatings, EHS, Logistics, Field Operations, Accounting, and Executive Management.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans; notify management of issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety, delivery, or customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and maintain project controls, including status reports, earned value metrics, and forecast reporting.
• Coordinate fabrication requirements for heavy plate, built‑up girders, machinery support frames, trunnions, counterweight structures, and other movable bridge components.
• Coordinate shop assembly plans, bolting and welding procedures, NDE, coating hold points, and shipping configurations.
• Resolve technical and fabrication issues with engineers, detailers, inspectors, vendors, and erection teams.
