Job summary

MK Consulting Group seeks a Structural Steel Field Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and completion of structural steel projects. You will ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with specifications while coordinating with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing shop and erection drawings, managing contracts and procurement, and enforcing safety and quality processes on-site.

Qualifications

• Must manage project planning and scheduling for structural steel projects.
• Experience coordinating budgets, resources, and contracts from start to finish.
• Ability to review shop and erection drawings for compliance and fabrication flow.
• Knowledge of safety plans and quality assurance on active job sites.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address project challenges quickly.
• Proven leadership to mentor staff and maintain a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
• Document and contract management: Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drawing and fabrication oversight: Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans to ensure they comply with project requirements and facilitate smooth fabrication and installation.
• Safety and quality assurance: Implement and enforce safety plans and procedures on the job site and manage quality control processes.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and issues as they arise.
• Financial oversight: Monitor job costs, manage billing and invoicing, and ensure timely payments.
• Team leadership: Mentor project staff and foster a positive team environment.
