Job summary

SEH is seeking a Horizontal Engineer - Structural / Bridge to join our Denver-area Structural Practice. The role supports an established bridge design and inspection program across Colorado and the Western U.S., with options for Denver office placement or remote work within Colorado or Arizona.

The candidate will perform analysis, prepare reports, conduct inspections, and coordinate with clients and agencies. PE licensure and state certifications are preferred, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
• PE license required; Colorado and/or Arizona licensure preferred.
• NCEES record updated within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with Bentley OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
• Knowledge of AASHTO bridge design and CDOT/ADOT criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, walls and related structures.
• Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies.
• Conduct bridge and culvert inspections and load ratings.
• Create structural calculations and load-rating packages using OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and agencies.
