Job summary

V3 Companies, Ltd. is seeking a Bridge Structural Engineer to contribute to career-defining projects across North America. With offices in IL, IN, OH, CO, you will join a team of 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to shape roads and bridges that connect communities.

The role involves 3D bridge modeling, structural analysis, inspections, cost estimation, and close collaboration with other disciplines. EIT is required; PE/SE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university.
• 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience.
• Experience in projects for clients such as various departments of transportation, state and local municipalities.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards.
• Proficient in MicroStation. Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus.
• Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, STAAD).
• EIT license required. PE or SE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
