Job summary

V3 Companies is seeking a Bridge Structural Engineer to contribute to career-defining projects across North America. You will design bridges, perform analyses, ratings, and inspections, and collaborate with a 450+ team of designers and engineers in multiple offices.

The role requires a Civil/Structural ABET-accredited degree, 4–8 years of bridge experience, and EIT; PE/SE preferred. Offices include Woodridge/Chicago, IL and other locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• 4–8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, and inspection experience.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards; EIT required; PE or SE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
