Job summary

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, seeks a Bridge Structural Engineer to impact North American projects from our Woodridge/Chicago, IL office. You will design bridges, model in 3D, analyze structures, inspect and rate loads, and collaborate across disciplines on complex projects.

The role requires 4–8 years of bridge experience, a Civil/Structural ABET-accredited degree, and an EIT license; PE/SE is a plus. Offices in IL, IN, OH, CO offer growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university
• Master’s degree with a structural focus preferred
• EIT license required; PE or SE license preferred
• 4–8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience
• Experience with DOT/state/local agencies
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards
• Proficient in MicroStation; OpenBridge Modeler a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
