Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural/ Bridge Engineering Intern to join our Transportation team in Baltimore, MD, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide.

This role involves design, analysis, and maintenance of bridges and other infrastructure, collaborating with engineers, architects and senior staff. You will gain hands-on experience under mentorship, with a hybrid work policy supporting both office and project locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related specialization from an ABET-accredited university.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Suite.
• Experience or coursework pertaining to the design of concrete or steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of bridges and other infrastructure projects.
• Prepare plans, calculations, and cost estimates under supervision of senior engineers.
• Create and document engineering drawings and reports using CAD software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
