Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Bridge Engineer 5 to develop PS&E packages for bridge projects, including movable and floating structures. You will prepare specifications, estimates, and working day schedules, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy for advertisement.

The role requires a BS in civil/structural engineering, WA PE or reciprocity, and expertise in bridge specifications and cost estimation. Hybrid remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil or structural engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in WA or eligible by reciprocity.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing bridge/project specifications and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PS&E packages for transportation structures.
• Prepare cost estimates and working day schedules.
• Review plans, data, and calculations for accuracy.
