Job summary

S&Me, Inc. is seeking a CEI Bridge and Roadway Inspector to oversee bridge and roadway construction in Southern West Virginia.

You will perform field inspections, monitor contractor activities, conduct material testing, and maintain detailed documentation to ensure compliance with designs and environmental and contractual requirements. Join a project-focused transportation team delivering critical infrastructure projects while coordinating with engineers, client representatives, and contractors

Qualifications

• Education/Experience combinations required: high school+d+engineering experience, or 2-year technical degree with highway exp, or B.S. in Civil/Construction field.
• WV TRET Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong communication, math, and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field inspections of bridge and roadway work to verify plans and safety.
• Perform material sampling and basic tests to ensure quality.
• Maintain inspection logs and prepare daily reports.
• Review permits, DBE, and EEO compliance and liaise with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and client representatives.
