Job summary

The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a QC Coordinator to oversee the quality control and quality assurance processes for bridge inspection programs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4 years experience in bridge inspection, or a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Certified as a Bridge Inspector by the Florida Department of Transportation. Class E Driver’s License Required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and contracts, roadway and traffic design standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs QC/QA procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in the inspection program.
• Conducts periodic field review of inspection teams; reviews work orders, reports and computations.
• Analyzes and evaluates inspection procedures to support training needs and effectiveness of the program.
• Develops QC/QA processes to assure compliance with Department Procedures and QA criteria.
• Acts as liaison to asset maintenance firms and inspection consultant contracts regarding QC adherence.
