Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc (SSR) seeks a Bridge Project Manager to lead planning through construction documents, coordinating with clients and internal teams on bridge replacements, repairs, and retaining walls. You will guide design teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure quality and timely delivery across projects for diverse DOTs and municipal clients.

You will leverage OpenBridge, AASHTOWare, and MathCAD, mentor junior engineers, and drive growth through proactive risk management

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering BS with 4 years of relevant design/analysis experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in TN or ability to obtain within six months of hire OR 10 years of practical experience on similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge projects—from planning through final construction documents.
• Confirm project scope, requirements, and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop proposal letters, staffing plans, and discipline work plans with budgets and schedules.
• Plan and facilitate project kick-off and coordination meetings and clearly communicate scope, budget, and schedule.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, and budget; identify and address risks to quality and financial goals.
• Coordinate resource planning tools, track profit variance, and support monthly revenue forecasting and invoicing.
• Prepare and implement QA/QC plans and ensure documentation is complete and stored.
• Assist in the technical development of bridge design, repair, and retaining walls; utilize design workflows.
• Utilize software such as OpenBridge, AASHTOWare, and MathCAD to support design and load ratings.
