Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Project Engineer in the Bloomfield, NJ office to lead designs for simple and complex bridges, primarily steel and concrete, for public clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of bridge experience, NJ PE license, and strong communication skills to mentor staff and coordinate with clients while managing project development from planning to reports.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of bridge experience.
• NJ PE license.
• Experience with NJDOT and NJTA design standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of simple and complex bridges.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with clients.
• Perform structural analysis and design.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
