Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Project Engineer to join the Bloomfield, NJ office. You will manage structural teams and complete designs for bridges and transportation structures using CSI software, collaborating with clients to meet objectives while mentoring junior staff.
This full-time position requires NJ PE license and 5+ years of bridge experience. You’ll oversee all phases of project development from planning to contract documents, and you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team,
Dewberry is seeking aStructural (Bridge) Project Engineerlocated in theBloomfield, NJoffice, conveniently next to several major highways and not far from New York City. Experience with NJDOT and NJTA design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements are preferred. The successful candidate will manage structural teams and complete designs for simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures)using applicable software for public clients. Bridge design work encompasses new and replacement bridges, bridge widening’s, and bridge rehabilitation.
The candidate will be responsible for completing and overseeing all phases of project development including planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports. The candidate must be able to successfully work independently as well as work with and/or lead a team of structural engineers and drafters, as well as coordinate with other project disciplines, working closely with clients to meet their objectives. The ability and willingness to mentor less experienced staff is required.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. The projected range for this position is $97,000 to $125,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NJ only.
