Job summary

HNTB seeks a senior engineer in Houston, TX to lead design calculations and engineering plans for major infrastructure projects. You will consult with the project manager, perform research, and deliver high-quality designs on schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 6+ years of experience (or equivalent) and a PE is preferred. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate across multiple disciplines to ensure successful project delivery for HNTB clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees with corresponding experience
• PE certification is preferred for this role
• Extensive experience in TxDOT bridge design and current design criteria

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work while maintaining project schedules and budgets
• Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within the discipline
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the project team's work and mentor staff
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners across disciplines
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
