Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a senior engineer to lead the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for major infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with project managers, and ensure solutions meet project schedules and budgets while maintaining high quality across disciplines.

Required are a related engineering degree and substantial bridge design experience; PE license is preferred and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 7 years, or PhD with 6 years.
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred and 10 years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

Uses senior-level technical expertise to explore a broad range of engineering solutions.
Leads discipline delivery on large, multi-disciplinary projects and coordinates with staff and clients.
Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
Develops scope of work and manages budget and schedule for complex projects.
Ensures completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work within the discipline.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
Coordinates technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
Oversees multi-discipline coordination on complex projects to ensure on-time delivery.
Performs other duties as assigned.
