Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation seeks a maintenance intern to support the roadway maintenance program at the St. Louis District Office in Chesterfield, MO. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision and focus on inspections, data entry, and coordination with local officials.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or post-bachelor's degree program.
• ABET-accredited engineering program required for engineering candidates.
• GPA of 2.0 or higher, 30 credit hours completed.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assists in safety inspections on bridges and culverts.
• Performs bridge and culvert inspections (routine, in-depth, fracture critical, special, underwater).
• Prepares reports and updates inspection data in the TMS database.
