Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking a construction intern to inspect routine construction items for conformance to plans, specifications, special provisions, and contract terms at the Branson project office. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.

You will coordinate inspections, prepare reports, support field surveying operations, and assist with staking for bridges and interchanges, with opportunities to lead and mentor others.

Competenze

• ABET-accredited degree program required.
• Must have completed 30 credit hours toward your current degree.
• GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Coordinate and perform construction inspections verifying compliance with contracts, specifications, and engineering principles.
• Maintain required construction documentation, records and files; prepare progress and other reports.
• Provide field checks for surveying operations; assist in staking of bridges and critical structures.
• Perform lead worker responsibilities, including instruction, assignment and performance feedback.
• Assist with final plans, change orders, contractor payment estimates, and engineering costs.

ABET-accredited bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program
