Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. invites an experienced Bridge Inspection Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves performing structural inspections on bridges and related structures, contributing to inspection/design projects, and serving as team lead on small to moderately complex assignments.

This is an excellent opportunity to advance into a leadership position. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) and a Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
• 2+ years of experience in inspection/design of bridges, roadways, marinas, or ports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering information to project manager to ensure compliance with standards and design instructions.
• Review and analyze field/design issues; make recommendations.
• Perform engineering computations using conventional practices.
• Prepare complete engineering plans or reports.
• Use CAD/engineering software to prepare documents.
• Supervise junior staff on small to moderate projects.
• Attend meetings outside standard hours as needed.
• Relocation assistance is available.
