Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc., a leader in transportation and marine engineering, invites applications for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Canton, MA. You will supervise inspections and guide teams, acting as project manager on moderately complex projects and supporting design work as needed.

The role requires a PE, 4–5 years of bridge inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, and relocation is available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
A minimum of 4-5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
NICET certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Supervise above-water and underwater bridge and ancillary design, inspection, and evaluations.
Review and analyze field/design issues; provide recommendations.
Prepare and monitor project budgets; assist in proposal preparation.
Accountable for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
Direct and supervise the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
Fieldwork required, including nights and weekends.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare documents.
