Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to support our Gulf Region located in Brentwood, Chattanooga, or Knoxville, TN. The role requires a high school diploma at minimum and extensive NBIS bridge inspection experience.

You will lead a team in the field, schedule inspections, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and review inspection reports while developing repair recommendations. Travel within Tennessee is 50% and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• NBIS knowledge and bridge inspection experience
• 5+ years of bridge inspection experience with at least 1 year as NBIS Team Leader
• Strong writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site safety inspections of bridges and culverts
• Lead a field team of inspectors during inspections
• Schedule inspections, coordinate personnel, vendors, stakeholders, and traffic maintenance
• Operate access equipment and other inspection equipment
• Review and update bridge inspection reports
• Develop repair recommendations
• Review structural analysis data
