Job summary

Benesch in Colorado seeks an experienced Bridge Inspector Project Manager / Team Leader to lead self-performing bridge inspections, supervise staff, and grow client relationships across transportation projects. The role sits in our Structural Assessment group with travel and a hybrid in-office emphasis in Denver or Johnstown.

Qualifications include NBIS CBSI, CBSI Team Leader, 8+ years, BSCE preferred, EIT with PE path; strong communication; valid US license; readiness for heights; DOT

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years related experience.
• NBIS Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) with up-to-date refresher training.
• CBSI Team Leader.
• BSCE or related discipline preferred but not required.
• EIT with plan to obtain PE registration preferred.
• Fracture Critical Inspection / Scour Evaluation training a plus.
• SPRAT certification a plus.
• Experience preparing reports for inspections (iForms, BMS2, NBE, etc.).
• Familiarity with DOT Publications.
• Bridge inspection assignments vary; expect climbing embankments and ladders.
• Frequent overnight travel may be required.
• Candidate should be comfortable at heights and near busy roadways.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Positive experience interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local management to strategize and pursue projects.
• Lead and direct bridge inspection teams and deliverables.
• Build and nurture client relationships across projects.
• Supervise staff in performing inspections and generating reports.
• Coordinate, plan, and manage multiple bridge inspection projects.
• Perform NBIS-compliant inspections and load rating analysis.
• Organize project documentation and deliverables for review.
• Develop complete and reviewable task deliverables.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate within a dynamic team to meet client needs.
