Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Inspector – Bridge Inspection to join our Mountain Pacific bridge inspection team. This position can be based out of one of WSP's offices in AZ, CO, ID, NM, NV, or UT, with travel as needed.

As an Assistant Inspector, you’ll support inspections of bridges and related structures, document field conditions, and help develop inspection reports under NBIS/NTIS standards, working with senior staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or related field.
• 0–1 year post-education experience in bridge inspection or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret bridge plans and specs.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying climates.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspections of bridges, culverts, and related assets.
• Document field data, measurements, and conditions for reports.
• Support development of inspection reports and recommendations.
• Operate inspection tools, tablets, and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with senior staff and client representatives during field operations.
