Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Inspector- Bridge Inspection to join our Mountain/Pacific Northwest Inspection Group. This role supports inspections for bridges, culverts, and related structures across AZ, CO, ID, NM, NV, and UT, with potential field travel.

The ideal candidate has a structural or civil engineering background, 0–1 year post-education experience, and the ability to read plans, collect field data, and document conditions while adhering to NBIS/NTIS and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• 0–1 year post-education experience.
• Experience in bridge inspection or structural fieldwork.
• Ability to read bridge plans and specs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of bridges, culverts, and related structures.
• Collect field data, notes, and photographs for reports.
• Develop inspection reports with condition ratings and actions.
• Operate inspection tools and equipment, including drones if applicable.
• Coordinate with senior staff and client representatives in the field.
• Follow safety protocols and MOT guidelines.
