Job summary

U.S. Bridge, a leading designer, engineer and manufacturer of steel bridge solutions, seeks a Business Development Manager in Columbus, OH. This hybrid role emphasizes building relationships with contractors, engineers, and public agencies to identify and pursue bridge opportunities.

You will work with engineers and project teams, leveraging established industry networks to win awarded projects and drive growth across infrastructure markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical sales, engineering, bridge construction, heavy civil or transportation infrastructure.
• Existing relationships within the bridge, heavy civil or transportation infrastructure market strongly preferred.
• P.E. licensure is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand relationships with contractors, engineering firms, DOTs, municipalities and other infrastructure partners.
• Leverage existing relationships to identify and pursue new bridge and infrastructure opportunities.
• Engage customers and engineers early in the planning and design process to position U.S. Bridge for future projects.
• Work with customers to understand project requirements and develop technically sound, commercially competitive solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial identification through estimating, proposal development, negotiation and award.
• Review plans, specifications and bid documents and coordinate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing and operations.
• Build and manage an active sales pipeline and provide accurate opportunity forecasting.
• Represent U.S. Bridge at customer meetings, industry events, conferences and trade shows.
• Maintain customer relationships throughout project delivery to drive repeat business and future opportunities.
