Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA, is seeking a Carpenter (Formbuilding/Formsetting) II to support the construction of I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge, handling formwork for foundations, walls, and columns. You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials with hand and power tools, and ensure formwork is accurate and safe.

The role may require overtime and weekend hours as needed to keep project on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant form carpentry experience with tools and techniques for formwork.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret structural plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime or nights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble forms for bridges, foundations, and beams.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints to determine form requirements.
• Measure and cut materials with hand/power tools.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square using levels/lasers.
• Install anchor bolts and fixtures in formwork.
• Dismantle formwork after concrete cures.
• Inspect formwork for safety and quality.
• Support concrete pour operations.
