Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking an experienced Bridge Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil transportation projects. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate manpower and equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of bridge construction experience, can read plans, and communicate with project teams, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of bridge construction experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong background in heavy civil construction and transportation infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and project schedules.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise bridge crews in daily construction activities.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work to crew members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company, client, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and grade information.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedules.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture on the jobsite.
• Monitor workmanship to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and inspectors regarding project progress and potential issues.
• Assist with planning concrete pours, structural steel activities, and other critical operations.
• Track production, manpower utilization, and equipment needs.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project schedules.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
