Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 on the Bridges team.

You’ll engage in design, analysis, and maintenance tasks across private and public sector projects, with guidance from licensed engineers. You’ll work on evaluations, drawings, calculations, and client communications while developing practical skills in MicroStation/OpenRoads/OpenBridge and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Rising Junior status preferred for Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations of structures of various degrees of complexity
• Prepares plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under supervision of experienced engineers
• Contribute to the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients under supervision
