Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for bridges and transportation projects in Bellevue, WA. You will prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports within a multidisciplinary team under supervision.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (3.0 GPA) and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution is required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is expected.
• Strong interest in structural/bridge engineering is essential.

Your Responsibilities May Include

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for bridges and transportation projects
• Prepare structural design calculations, cost estimates, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Develop design solutions and contract drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and optimize design solutions

Here's what you'll need

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• 3.0 GPA
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Strong interest in structural/ bridge engineering

Ideally, You Will Have

• In pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation
• A previous internship related to structures or bridge design
• Experience with engineering analysis software (e.g., Sap2000, CsiBridge, Risa 3D, Larsa, Midas, etc.)
• Experience or interest in programming/ design optimization software (Python, Rhino, Grasshopper, etc.)
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $67,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
