Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our team in the Northeast. You will contribute to design, analysis, and inspection of bridge structures and collaborate with engineers, planners, scientists, and landscape architects to deliver sustainable solutions.

The role involves working on state, municipal, and private bridge projects, including culverts and multi-span bridges, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (CT preferred or reciprocity possible).
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of MicroStation a plus.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations.
• Prepare contract documents, including plans, specs, and estimates.
• Manage small to large scale projects.
• Quality review of structural design calculations and contract documents.
• Develop structural details and construction plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Assist or lead bridge and structure inspections and inspection reports.
• Participate in meetings with clients and project teams.
