Job summary

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Bridge Engineer Principal to lead bridge design projects in the Pennsylvania market from our Pittsburgh office.

This senior role focuses on business development, project delivery, QA, and staff development. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with geotechnical and roadway groups, and drive client relationships while contributing to growth across PA, OH, WV, and national markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license in PA or ability to reciprocity register.
• 15+ years leading bridge design projects with client management and BD experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Civil 3D and bridge design software.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge project planning, design, and delivery to create an excellent client experience.
• Support development and execution of transportation growth strategy through exemplary client service and relationship development.
• Lead and collaborate on project pursuits, proposals, scopes, and schedules.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, coordinating with geotechnical, roadway, permitting, and other disciplines.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of project deliverables.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff across all career levels.

Overview

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), is expanding our team, and we are looking for a motivated Bridge Engineer Principal to develop and lead bridge design projects in the Pennsylvania market. Based in our Pittsburgh, PA office, this senior role is responsible for business development, project delivery, quality assurance, and staff development.

This position offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate with top engineering professionals while supporting the continued growth of our transportation practice across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, as well as expanding national markets.
