Overview
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to combine your technical expertise, project leadership, and client development skills to expand your impact while helping shape the future of the Transportation practice.
You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of transportation and infrastructure projects while playing a key role in mentoring staff and shaping the direction of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Guiding and leading a team of Engineers and Project Managers through multi‑faceted Transportation Engineering projects, including performing QA/QC on project deliverables.
- Managing project contracts and financials, including involvement with business development and marketing efforts to identify practice growth opportunities.
- Maintaining a presence within the Engineering Community to develop new clients and foster relationships with existing clients to obtain work.
- Assisting in staff development, including annual performance reviews and professional development goal planning.
- Guiding external stakeholders through the regulatory environment, presenting at public meetings and hearings, and providing expert testimony.
- Leading financial management (AR/WIP) of projects, partnering with accounting and legal teams to resolve complex situations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related) is required.
- 12+ years of experience in the Transportation/Highway/Roadway Engineering sector is required.
- Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) is required.
- Experience designing and performing quality assurance using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required.
- Expertise in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to direct projects profitably.
- Proven Business Development/Client Management experience is preferred.
