As a Bridge Engineering Principal at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Bridgeport, West Virginia office, you'll be at the forefront of project delivery, client engagement, and team development. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of bridge projects to ensure exceptional client satisfaction
• Drive business development efforts and contribute to strategic planning for market growth in West Virginia and surrounding regions
• Collaborate on project pursuits, proposals, scopes, and schedules
• Oversee multi‑disciplinary project teams, including geotechnical, roadway, and permitting professionals
• Ensure quality assurance and technical excellence across all project documentation
• Mentor and develop engineering staff across all levels, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration in WV, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
• 15+ years of proven experience in bridge design, including leadership on design‑build and design‑bid‑build projects
• Proven success in client relationship management and proposal development
• Strong background in business development and project pursuit strategy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Proficiency with MicroStation, Civil 3D and bridge design software
• Demonstrated communication and team leadership skills
