Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Bridge Engineer, PE to join our Transportation team in Florida. You will design bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. Responsibilities include 3D modeling and plan production, load rating analyses, and preparing reports.

Travel up to 15% may be required. You will supervise design progress and coordinate with state and local agencies. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a PE license are required, with 5+ years of bridge design experience and proficiency in OpenRoads,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
PE license required.
5+ years of bridge design experience.
Familiarity with AASHTO bridge standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Design bridges, culverts and retaining walls.
Plan production including 3D Modeling and CAD.
Load rating analysis of bridges.
Prepare structural evaluation studies, structure-type studies, and similar reports.
Computation of estimated quantities, plan notes, and cost estimates.
Site visits to support the design process.
Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including coordination with state/local officials and sub-consultants.
Participate in business development efforts and meet with clients.
