Job summary

Tetra Tech in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team. You will design, analyze, and evaluate bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures, supporting plan production with 3D modeling and CADD.

The ideal candidate holds a PE with 5+ years of bridge design experience, is familiar with AASHTO LRFD and state DOT standards, and can coordinate with agencies and subconsultants while communicating effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license with 5+ years of bridge design and plan production experience.
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD and applicable state DOT bridge design standards.
• Experience using MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, or AASHTOWare BrR; OpenRoads is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.
• Lead plan production, including 3D modeling and CADD.
• Conduct bridge load rating analyses.
• Use structural design software to develop evaluations and studies.
• Prepare quantities, notes, reports, and cost estimates.
• Perform site visits to support design and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with state/local agencies, clients, and subconsultants.
• Support project management, quality oversight, and business development as needed.
