Job summary

gpac is partnering with a successful engineering firm to hire a Senior Bridge Engineer in Michigan. This role leads bridge design and client projects, ensuring technical excellence and strong communication with stakeholders.

You will manage client relationships, perform bridge analyses and designs, oversee budgets and schedules, and contribute to construction documents and cost estimates. MDOT experience and a PE license are highly valued, with growth opportunities in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of bridge design experience.
• MDOT project experience preferred.
• Prior project management experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Open Roads.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary technical client contact on projects
• Perform bridge and other structural design engineering, bridge inspections and other assignments
• Perform analyses and design required for highway bridge structures, retaining walls, and related elements
• Track and maintain project budgets and schedules
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, quantities, and proposals
