You will guide complex investigations, review contracts, and coordinate with districts and local officials to ensure safe, compliant structures.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, multiple years of bridge/transportation experience, and professional licensure.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a state vehicle.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Bridge Inspector training/certification within 1 year of hire.

Mansioni

• Assists districts with bridge inspection-related matters.
• Coordinates with local officials on critical findings to post/repair/close structures.
• Ensures compliance with bridge inspection standards.
• Inspects structures for damage and designs emergency shoring when needed.
• Leads and trains staff; negotiates consultant contracts for bridge work.
• Provides technical drainage/hydrology support and resolves related issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
