Job summary

GCW Engineering, Inc. on-site in Las Vegas, NV seeks a bridge/structural engineer to lead planning, analysis, design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects. The role provides technical leadership for bridge and related structures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet schedule and budget while following design standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering is required.
Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline is preferred.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in bridge design.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee bridge design, load rating, rehabilitation, widening, and replacement projects.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD, NDOT, and applicable codes.
Coordinate project schedules and budgets.
Review and approve engineering work products for quality and constructability.
Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project development and construction.
Participate in project meetings, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction engineering services.
Design structural components per division scope (bridges, retaining walls, flood-control, water facilities).
