Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least one year of study completed.
• Graduates planning to pursue a Master's degree are eligible.
• Registration as an EIT is preferred.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills are required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for bridge inspections.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs portions of a broader assignment under mentorship of an experienced structural engineer.
• Prepares designs and calculations for materials including steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
• Evaluates and applies standard engineering techniques to design structural building systems.
• Coordinates with other discipline engineers to ensure continuity of design.
• Performs construction administration duties, including shop drawing review and RFI responses.
