Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineering Intern Certification required or preferred.
• 0–2+ years of civil design experience focused on bridges/structures.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Our Albuquerque office is seeking a full-time Engineer in Training to support our Bridge Engineering group. The ideal candidate will have experience in bridge and structural design projects, strong communication skills, and a high attention to detail. We seek a self‑starter who enjoys a professional, team‑oriented environment and is ready to advance their career in civil design. You will collaborate with other disciplines, project managers, support staff, and clients to ensure the successful completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic bridge/structural design.
• Support production of construction plans and documents.
• Complete quantity take‑offs and cost estimating.
• Coordinate with other disciplines internally and externally.

Required Skills

• Strong work ethic and understanding of engineering principles.
• Experience in CADD using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
• Proven teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products including Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related curriculum from an ABET‑accredited school.
• Engineering Intern Certification.
• 0‑2+ years’ experience in civil design focused on bridges/structures.
• Ability to work effectively with other engineers and technicians.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation software is highly preferred.

Hourly Earnings: $70,000‑$85,000+ (Depending on Experience)
