Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Staff Structural (Bridge) Engineer for its Boston, MA office. You will join a team designing bridges and related structures using steel and concrete, develop contract plans and estimates, and support construction.

The role offers growth opportunities and exposure to the latest technology in transportation structures. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering with at least 2 years of bridge experience, and familiarity with STAAD, MathCad, Tedds, RISA, AutoCAD, and MS

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of bridge engineering experience.
• EIT is preferred as a professional credential.
• Ability to perform field inspections.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates aspects of work, and performs analysis and design.
• Prepares scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Assists with proposals to provide professional services.
• Works outdoors in diverse weather conditions, at heights, near traffic.
• Utilizes inspection instruments effectively during site work.
• Coordinates design with other departments and tracks project progress.
• May include shop drawing review and inspection support.
