Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge EIT/Designer to join the Transportation Business Group in North Carolina. Based in Charlotte or Raleigh, you will apply structural engineering techniques to develop bridge designs and perform load calculations as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, familiarity with major engineering software, and an EIT certificate. Master’s degree and prior bridge experience are preferred for career progression.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• EIT certificate required or in progress for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques for bridge designs.
• Develop structural details using engineering software.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within HDR’s Bridges and Structures group.
