Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Bridge EIT/Designer to join our Alaska Bridge and Structures Team in Anchorage. You will perform bridge design tasks, develop plans, and assist with inspections under a Professional Engineer.

A strong background with structural software and detailing is preferred. We value collaboration in a multi-disciplinary group and offer the opportunity to work on roadway, rail, marine, and other transportation structures.

Qualifications

• MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD experience.
• Knowledge of Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bridge designs, develop design plans and perform load calculations.
• Review shop drawings and field submittals in a team environment.
• Support structural detailing and design across transportation projects.
• Assist with bridge inspection and construction observation as needed.
