Job summary
Texas Department of Transportation seeks Transportation Engineer I/II/III in Dallas area to perform complex transportation engineering work including bridge inspection and design tasks. The role covers on-site reviews, plan development, and coordination with stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Candidates should have an engineering degree and relevant inspection/design experience, with opportunities across bridge and geotechnical domains and compliance with state standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science; PE licensure may be required.
- Experience in bridge inspection, design or geotechnical analysis is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and inspection practices is expected.
Responsibilities
- Drives to project locations for on-site reviews, analyses and technical support.
- Performs bridge design work including layouts, plans, specifications and estimates.
- Reviews PS&E submissions and special provisions for accuracy and compliance.
- Assists in reviewing shop drawings for bridges and related structures.
- Ensures compliance with National Bridge Inspection Standards and related guidelines.
