Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Florida is seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in bridges to join our growing team across Delray, Jacksonville, Panama City, Pensacola, Tampa, Mobile, and Orlando. You will contribute to projects in transportation, buildings, and related structures.

You will perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and help develop reports and cost estimates while advancing your professional licensure and career

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in bridge design.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Strong English writing and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of buildings, bridges, ports and other structures.
• Work with CAD systems such as Reviit, MicroStation, LEAP bridge design.
• Plan creation, design, and checking for buildings, bridges and ports.
• Prepare reports, studies, and detailed designs across all phases.
• Handle superstructure, substructure, and foundation designs.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and unit cost development.
• Apply knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations.
