Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing structural team in Florida. The role focuses on bridge design across transportation, water-wastewater, marine and energy projects, with opportunities to work on diverse structures.

Candidates should have a PE license, 5–10 years in bridge design, and strong English technical writing and communication skills. A collaborative, hybrid office environment supports growth and leadership development.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years of bridge design experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE).
• Proven English technical writing and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs structural analysis and design of buildings, bridges, ports and other structures using industry-standard software.
• Work with CAD systems such as Revit, MicroStation, and LEAP Bridge design software.
• Plan creation, design, and checking for conventional buildings, bridges and port projects.
• Assist in preparing and modifying reports, studies, and detailed designs across all phases.
• Contribute to quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and engineer's estimates.
• Maintain knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, and timber design and foundation types.
