Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks Engineer 3-5 to support transportation projects. The role applies engineering principles, conducts analyses, coordinates work, and reviews compliance.

Positions are located in Jennings and report to the Project Engineer. Training is provided with progression through the Engineering job series; LA licensure is required or obtained before appointment.

Competenze

• Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice professional engineering.
• Applicants licensed in other states may apply but must obtain Louisiana license prior to appointment.

Mansioni

• Assist with bridge and structural design activities for transportation projects.
• Review or prepare plans, calculations, specs, estimates, and structural details.
• Perform or assist with bridge load ratings, evaluations, or preservation activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, districts, and construction staff.
