Bridge Design Engineer - ODOT Level I or II Bridge Design Engineer - Mansfield, OH - JOB (phone number removed)

Salary Range: $86K - $100K. Permanent Position with Benefits.

Opportunity for hybrid work depending on experience and ability to work independently.

A civil engineering & survey firm is seeking an ODOT Level I or II Bridge Design Engineer. Preference for Level 2 and candidates able to learn civil site and roadway design. (This job is not for ODOT.)

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Ohio P.E. License or ability to obtain quickly
• Minimum five years of experience in structural/bridge engineering, preferably in consulting
• Strong project design and management skills
• Effective client interaction and business development skills
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (required) and/or MicroStation (desired)
• Knowledge of ODOT standards
• Experience with AASHTO and Ohio DOT design manuals for hydraulics, roadways, and bridges
• Familiarity with Merlin-Dash, PSBeam, CivilGEO, HEC-RAS is a plus
• Ability to review and check design calculations, estimates, and specifications

Specific Requirements

• Superstructure Types: reinforced concrete slabs, precast/pre-stressed concrete box and I-beams, steel beams and girders
• Pier Types: Cap and Column, T-type, Wall-type
• Abutment Types: Stub, Integral, Semi-Integral, Wall, Retaining Wall
• Foundation Types: Piles, Spread footing, Drilled shaft
