Job summary

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Transportation Group/Charenton Bridge Replacement project in Jeanerette, Louisiana. The role involves constructing and installing wooden structures for bridges and related works at various heavy civil sites across the U.S.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber elements, with daily use of carpentry tools and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable construction carpentry experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges and walls.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
